POSITION

One year contracted salary position as a Social Media and PR Coordinator.

OVERVIEW

This party role is remote—based on a work-from-home concept—with daily communication with the immediate manager via email and Zoom. Some on-site work days in Toronto will be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participating in strategy and brainstorming discussions for current clients and prospective clients
• Keeping abreast of emerging social media platforms, tools, and technologies on an ongoing basis
• Assisting in the creation of social media content for Soar Media Group Inc. and clients such as Canva and Photoshop graphics, editing Instagram stories, reels, and podcast episodes, writing captions, writing product descriptions, and writing blog posts
• Editing simple reels and cutting simple video clips using Adobe Premier Pro
• Scheduling social media content for Soar Media Group Inc.’s clients
• Managing day-to-day inquiries through social media for a variety of clients
• Assisting in the posting of content for WordPress websites
• Conducting media audits for clients
• Creating monthly reporting documents and compiling analytics as needed
• Finding, securing, and managing influencer campaigns for clients
• Creating press releases, press lists, and individual pitches
• Co-ordinating press interviews and features
• Writing and building emails in Klaviyo

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1 year+ of related work experience
• Exceptional writing skills
• Experience working with and posting on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Candidate must have familiarity with Canva, WordPress, Klaviyo, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premier Pro
• Comfortable with deadline-oriented work and a fast-paced environment
• Works well independently and as a team member
• Candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills both in person and over the phone
• Candidate should be outgoing and comfortable in new environments
