Social Media Guru Maria-Teresa Andreacchi Shares Her Top Tips

Our founder, Maria-Teresa Andreacchi,  shares her best practices for social media and what has helped cultivate success for her business and the businesses she works with at Soar Media Group.

Managing social media doesn’t have to be scary or overwhelming. In her experience, you need three key elements to be successful: strategy, resources and authenticity.

Social media can be a great way to connect with new people, share ideas, and collaborate on projects. Furthermore, it can also be used to promote your businesses, increase visibility on other platforms, and engage with new communities.

Maria-Teresa Andreacchi’s social media management tips and how they can work for you:

  1. Create videos.

Videos are more engaging and can help increase engagement with your content. According to studies, the average viewer remembers 95% of a message when it is watched, whereas only 10% when read.  Bonus points if you put both of them together, as the algorithm favours posts like these.

  2. Solve a problem.

Use social media to provide a solution to your community’s problems – are you helping them save money? Save time? Live a healthier lifestyle? This is part of engaging with your audience. One of my favourite aspects of social media content strategy is creating solutions for a brand’s audience.

  3. Track your performance.

Monitor your metrics to see which strategies are successful. Variety of free online tools such as inapp native analytics or iconosquare can help you track your data accuracy and timely. Understanding your platform‘s performance helps you get the most out of your marketing efforts.

“Social Media is about the people! Not about your business. Provide for the people and the people will provide for you.”

Matt Goulart

  1. Take advantage of automation!

Utilize scheduling tools to save time and be consistent with your posting. There are lots of online tools that can help push out your content. For instance, Instagram has an inapp feature where you can schedule your posts kind of like a virtual assistant!

  2. Use narratives to drive your content.

Use narratives to drive your content. Tell a story – such as a simple nighttime routine or how to capture the best content with your iPhone. Use narratives to show how the brand fits into someone’s life or the story behind how it was created.

  3. Be consistent.

People want to know what to expect and know that you’ll be there to provide inspiration for them. Consequently, consistency could be posting once a week, once a day or multiple times a day. Additionally, it’s good to figure out what that looks like for your brand.

  4. Focus on quality, not quantity.

Quality content is a musthave don‘t post just for the sake of posting. Keep your content relevant to your audience by taking the time to learn how to use editing platforms and get an understanding of branding. Research your target audience to tailor your content for them.

“Engage rather than sell … Work as a co-creator, not a marketer.”

Tom H. C. Anderson, market researcher

  1. Leverage influencers.

Reach out to social media influencers to help spread your message and reach new audiences. If you don’t have a big budget,   try focusing on micro influencers. Evidently, they are usually more effective in generating an ROI and often have more engaged communities.

  2. Repurpose your content!

This means sharing your content on multiple platforms. Don’t just post on one platform, share your content on all the social media platforms your target audience uses. As a matter of fact, at Soar Media Group we recommend building content for TikTok then distributing it down to other platforms.

Lastly, remember to have fun! It’s okay if some things don’t work. This just means you’re going through the process of trial and error which ultimately makes you a better social media guru in the long run.

Growth, stepping outside of your comfort zone, and welcoming failure are all part of the process! Anyone can be a social media specialist, our founder Maria-Teresa Andreacchi believes it all starts with practice.
