POSITION

Social Media and PR Intern.

OVERVIEW

Ideal candidate is a dynamic self-starter, with a strong work ethic who is looking to advance in a position that is both challenging and rewarding, with high opportunity for growth. This role is mostly remote—based on a work-from-home concept—with daily communication with the immediate manager via email and Zoom. Some meetings in Toronto may be required. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for three days a week, unless program requirements stipulate otherwise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participating in strategy and brainstorming discussions for current clients and prospective clients
• Keeping abreast of emerging social media platforms, tools, and technologies on an ongoing basis
• Assisting in the creation of social media content for Soar Media Group Inc. and clients such as Canva graphics, writing tweets, and writing blog posts
• Posting social media content for Soar Media Group Inc.’s social media platforms
• Assisting in the posting of content for WordPress websites
• Researching emerging podcast trends and podcast channels
• Conducting media audits for clients

QUALIFICATIONS

Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate, a college or university program that includes PR and Communications.

• Exceptional writing skills
• Knowledge of primary social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Youtube)
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Familiarity with WordPress, Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro is considered an asset
• Experience with programs like Canva and Capcut considered an asset
• Comfortable with deadline-oriented work
• Works well independently and as a team member
• Candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills both in person and over the phone
• Candidate should be outgoing and comfortable in new environments
